Norway has a very large Merchant ship fleet,so i beleive they must have good ship building facilities...Dont know if they build subs or not..Bur most probably the visit is about other smaller and high tech naval hardware...Not subs.

Most of norway's resources are invested in oil exploration...not defense...With their indigenous state of the art technology they can find oil in dry rock...Wonder what defense tech they have on offer for PN.

Talking of oil exploration..they do have an advanced fleet of robotic and deep sea exploration mini subs..what use that would be for Navy?

Their Ula class is some serious stuff though

The Ula class submarines are among the most silent and maneuverable submarines in the world. This, in combination with the relatively small size, makes them difficult to detect from surface vessels and ideal for operations in coastal areas. The Ula class submarines are regarded as both the most effective and cost-effective weapons in the RNoN.

Norway does not produce submarines but has had some ships specifically designed to it specs by German companies (U-210 Ula class), often in close cooperation with German navy, which which the Norwegian navy shares some operating areas. It forms the basis of an export design complementing u214, namely U210mod.

HDW Introduces Type 210mod Submarine
On September 11th at SUBCON 2007 HDW of Kiel introduced its latest export submarine, the Type 210mod. Built on the design of the Type 210 (example Ula class), the Type 210mod is intended to compete in the export markets where the Type 212/214 is too expensive due to fuel cells.
