No real composting, just throw it on the ground or dig little holes in the garden and bury the waste. also have long pits (covered with floorboards in the greenhouse for garden and Kitchen waste rubbish.So you are even doing composting to feed your plants?
or planting around circular holes (6 foot diameter, 3 foot deep) in the open ground filled with rubbish.

we don't grow things like melons but it could be that you are harvesting too early? and/or watering too much? https://bonnieplants.com/how-to-grow/growing-watermelons/in Pakistan people are growing the melons/watermelons in open with plenty of light and temperature but not so sweet; what could be the reason?
