Also, apparently the Getty museum will have a related exhibition pretty soon. There are many world renowned works at display at the Getty. It's located north of LA. You park the car and the monorail will take you the museum buildings and you can visit them for free. Isn't that nice? I went once and had time to visit only 1 of the buildings (I think there are 4).

Documentary Film on Cyrus the Great's Capital City to be Aired on PBS
LOS ANGELES, CA, September 26, 2013 -- Farhang Foundation will be sponsoring the premiere broadcast of Recreating Pasargadae: Cyrus the Great's Paradise, a documentary by award-winning filmmaker Farzin Rezaeian that explores the palaces and gardens of Pasargadae, the first capital of the Persian Empire, on PBS SoCal HD on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. PST.
This broadcast will repeat on Sunday, October 6th at 6:30 pm PST on PBS SoCaL Plus channel.

Renowned for his visionary belief in freedom, cultural and religious diversity, Cyrus the Great, who ruled the Persian Empire from 559-530 B.C., resided in Pasargadae. This city was an ancient wonder, renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and its intentional absence of walls, gates or forbidding fortifications. The whole architecture and layout, reflecting Cyrus' belief in openness, approachability and the powerful idea that it is better to be loved for one's ideals than feared for one's sword.
Recreating Pasargadae: Cyrus the Great's Paradise is an illuminating documentary that faithfully restores and rebuilds this ancient city, allowing the viewer to visualize Cyrus' palaces and gardens at Pasargadae and feel what it would have been like to live there 2600 years ago. Comprehensively reconstructed through modern digital high resolution imagery and state-of-the-art computer and visual media, the documentary features several scholars of Ancient Persia, who discuss the various unique features of this metropolis.
Professor David Stronach, the renowned archaeologist of ancient Iran from UC Berkeley, has praised the film and its creator, stating, "Farzin Rezaeian and his skilled team are to be greatly congratulated on this original contribution to our knowledge of one of the foremost sites of ancient Iran at a key moment in world history."
On September 19, 2013, Farhang Foundation hosted the premiere screening of Recreating Pasargadae: Cyrus the Great's Paradise, in Orange County, which quickly sold out and was met with high praise.
The PBS broadcast of this documentary will air just days before the grand opening of The Cyrus Cylinder and Ancient Persia: A New Beginning. Taking place at the Getty Villa from October 2 to December 2, 2013, the Cyrus Cylinder exhibition will feature perhaps the most iconic artifact from the Cyrus era, a clay object inscribed on the orders of Cyrus that has been referred to as the first bill of human rights.
Farhang Foundation will also host a screening of the documentary on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), following a talk by Dr. Touraj Daryaee, associate Director of the Samuel M. Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture at the University of California, Irvine, as part of its conferences and lecture series in conjunction with The Cyrus Cylinder and Ancient Persia: A New Beginning. This exhibition marks the first time The Cyrus Cylinder will be in Los Angeles and has been made possible by Farhang Foundation in partnership with the Getty Museum.
