On topic: The gravity is same as we travel around the world. If gravity originates from mass density, then it is only constant on the earth surface if the earth is spherical. As in case of spherical body, the surface has a constant distance (radius) from the surface to the centre.

hmhm.. figuratively yes...
Geometrically, however, I am not sure what corner is.. perhaps it is intersection of two lines/dimensions... In that case, sphere can has some corners, according to the need.
