Do you agree with how DG ISPR engages on twitter?

Poor guy has no other person of similar rank on twitter with whom he can troll. So he has to troll the riff raff like us.

His press engagement during the recent Indo/Pak skirmish was really good but his conduct on twitter leaves much to be desired.

I am not sure Pakistan Army needs its chief spokesperson to engage every other gullly ka kutta on twitter.

When you do it even with your personal account, you not only expose yourself but as someone representing Pakistan Army, the whole institution to 2-bit twitter insults. Recently he was even replying to random Bharati journalists.

There are more than enough patriotic Pakistanis (literally thousands) who can counter lies against our state.

I liked General Bajwa's conduct more. There was a sense of firmness and he let the actions of the institution do the talking instead of putting himself in the spotlight.

I agree that is not only his job but ISPR since Kiyani and specially under Raheel is being used to wage information warfare. And social media is great platform to do that. And even trolling is part of that warfare. And Asif Ghafoor is just taking it to whole new level. The next ISPR chief will have to fill massive vacuum which would be left by Asif Ghafoor when ever he retires.

When you have delusional neighbors and warmongering media and small people occupying big offices, it's justified and a brilliant idea to have a ISPR arm to counter their lies and show them their place. The 5th gen war is all about information and perception and Pakistan won it hands down, even Indians agree to it.
BJP was so inpressed with the ISPR that they even created the socalled 'Babaji' or Babaint to speculate and spread lies during the Balakot crisis.

But that leadership can be provided from a distance, he should train his directors (brigadier and colonels) and give them credible media/social media access to counter the enemy or opposing narrative. His position needs to be elevated and needs to deal with the strategic narrative. There needs to be depth in ISPR's social media presence. actually ISPR should develop[ human capital so other junior level officers can carry out media briefings. ISPR is in a unique position to carry out higher leadership level coaching seminars for their officers to develop/polish their narrative building skills. I agree that the narrative has to be countered but I guess what I'm saying that there needs to be different nodes countering the opposing narrative and not that everything is coming from one focal point

Yes , but everything happens with time. institutions take time and effort to build. With a relatively shorter duration, not one person can achieve everything. Institutions take time to develop, each successive leader should input towards the overarching strategy. it should be systematic. Ghafoor and Bajwa have lead from the front and have set the narrative straight. now its time to focus on building depth in the leadership. which could very well be happening and we dont see the results yet. But, i believe army needs to develop a separate mini arm or atleast have an optional 3 month short course which educates officers on issues that ISPr deals with. and this course should form the basis of how officers are selected to serve in ISPR. high performers should be acknowledged with leadership positions within the department. aim is, we should have junior officers who are able to debate the narrative on media and in other public domain. We need to breed intellectual depth.

When US president can engage on twitter than why can't our DG ispr? Its a good platform.He should be careful from any hacks from external powers
