Was just about to post this. Fully programmable platform with great APIs. There's 4 expansion slots on the control board and it'll be interesting to see what accessories comes out to make use of this platform.

$500 each for a toy robot. Imaging build a larger combat robot for $2000 to $5000 and mount gun and grenade launcher would made them cheap battle field killers than can be deployed in mass.

A one time payment of $2000 to $5000 is cheaper than all in expenses of recruiting/ training/ housing/ food/ uniform/ salary & allowances/ personal weapon for a foot soldier in a year.
