Thats not true, it was because Bollywood was a Hindu industry (and still continues to be one, and will always be one). Bollywood has always been one of the biggest achievements of this Hindu nation.

Muslims were not allowed to act in films because most of the hindu audience was conservative, and would not be able to relate with a muslim actor. That is why muslims were told to have hindu names.

Hindus are like Black of America who dominates the Industry. Yes Muslim should not act as gay which is prevalent in Bollywood. There are no real men there..

may be for male muslims but islam allowed females it seems ... Fatima Rashid was renamed Nargis .. not a very good attempt..
