since when do exports have to say anything? it shows how dependent an economy is on the world, japan has bigger economy than germany but exports less and so does America. Its a sign of weakness that germany cant get its act together so german companies have to sell their products abroad.

no its not, because it shows only the value of currency, russia has heavily devalued their currency during the 90s. Doesnt mean russian products have devalued too, they havent.

France has many pointless service based economic sectors like tourism and property markets where property is more worth which ads a lot to your fake nominal gdp.
