Did 'absolutely right thing' in 2002, Narendra Modi says

No way your are a Nair, mr Ghori and this is not the first battle of Tarain. All your posteriorly generated squeak is a result of the through dressing given to you in Gujarat 2002
Explains a lot about why you guys are in so much trouble

You asking me why I support a party which at least says it wants unity and reconciliation vs a party which explicitly states it wants to divide? I believe it was our responsibility to leave all history behind in 1947. I don't believe that in 1992 we should take revenge for something that some conqueror did in 1400s- I can't say that the congress has let us down in either of these.

.
The only good Gandhi left is now Varun Gandhi he is true Hindutvati

Yes we are so secular we still have mohamedian laws where people can marry more than one partner and we Hindus fund their Haj holidays out of our pockets!

Another guy with sick mentality... explains a lot why we Indians are suffering still after 66 years of Independence...

Sikh riots - Congress
Support and creation of the Shiv Sena - Congress
Creation of Tamil problem - Congress

If the congress is truly secular, it will bring in the uniform civil code. Is the Congress ready to do that?

Congress is secular..!!! Give me a break .... :omghaha:

people who support congress are anti-national.. eg- look at Assam. you will understand. there is a saying in sanskrit - Mother and Motherland are glorious than heaven. congressi can sell their mother leave alone motherland.

Neither Congress said it wants unity nor BJP said it wants to divide. That is nothing but your imagination. BJP ruled the country for 6 years. What did it divide?

Fact of the matter is, this ruling Congress family party murdered 1000s of Sikhs in cold blood. In Gujarat's case, they all are clearly riots. All that you can accuse is about indifference. But Sikhs killings were clearly organized murders by Congress to take revenge on entire community. And you still consider it as a Secular party. Why? because, killings of Sikhs doesn't matter to you....

that tells where your origin is...please stop false representation..

What about 84'?

Thing is, all parties are the same. Congress may not do communal politics (it does), but it has done acts which were equally damaging as BJPs communal politics. The recent Naxal attack in CG should be an example.

I am not anti-congress/pro-BJP or vice-versa. And I want BJP in power next term cause I think power should be rotated, and not remain in one hand for long.

But with Modi, I see him delivering. The infra development in Gujarat has been top notch. He may have played communal politics in past. But now, and for past decade, he has stayed away from it. He has had strict control over groups like VHP and Bajarang Dal. The elections in Gujarat are fought based on development, and more emphasis on development than anything else. In all other states, the fight is based on caste or corruption. The opposition alleges ruling party of acute corruption and slow development. The CM candidates are chosen based on their caste.

Congress cant find strong cases of corruption so it drags on the issue 2002. Why should I not believe that Modi govt is one of the most secular, pro-development govt in the country? It fought and won the election on the issue of development. What has he done in past ten years that he should be accused of playing communal politics?

If you say not in ten years, but eleven, than what is your limit? Congress was communal in 84. So it is ok if it was 29 years ago, but not 11?

You will find out the moment Mr.Modi walks into the PM house. Just wait & see.

I like Modi a lot and hope he gets a chance to become the PM. But I certainly disagree that he did the right thing in 2002.

Sensationalist headline.

Read the original interview in Reuters for the correct context.

This is what he said,

"Absolutely. However much brainpower the Supreme Being has given us, however much experience I’ve got, and whatever I had available in that situation and this is what the SIT had investigated.".

Meaning he did everything that was possible given the resource constraints and within human judgement.

Plus I can imagine much of his replies would have been in Hindi..so there is also the question of transalation.
