As a legal immigrant -- someone who followed the rules, crossed the t's, and dotted the i's -- I wholeheartedly oppose any amnesty give to illegal immigrants regardless of who they are and where they are from.

That a foreign minister of a country would even request such a thing is unbecoming. This will only encourage more illegal immigration.

Giving amnesty to illegal immigrants is a hot-button issue in the US. The Democrats don't have the political muscle to pass such legislation as their leads in both the House and Senate are razor-thin.

However - Bangladesh (yes a country one eighth India's size) has bested you in GDP per capita, health, hygiene, education, you name it. And your country gained independence twenty five years before us.

Irresponsible Indians like you can only take away opportunities - never create them. Only look down your noses at fellow Indians, never help them. A shame - really.

Legal and illegal immigration are objects of debate. Indians emigrate overseas because situation at home are f*cked up beyond belief and they want to make their lives better. You as an Indian upper class or upper middle class are part of the problem, not the solution. YOU CREATED THE VERY SITUATION THEY ARE TRYING TO ESCAPE.

Take responsibility for your stealing the "HUQ" (Justice) from poor people by making their lives miserable, so they have to escape. First step to resolving a problem is trying to understand what you did as far as Indian poverty and trying to undo that.

But being selfish and Bharti, you will never own up to your responsibility.
