When every inch of Bangladesh is fertile, why don't they grow cotton instead of importing cotton from India.
I think waterlogged land is more suitable for paddy than cotton, I might be wrong. When every inch of Bangladesh is fertile, why don't they grow cotton instead of importing cotton from India.
Bangladesh will pay premium to secure long term contract so that India cannot stop export at will. If India still does not honour the contract, it will face the whole of bangladesh army, and we may end up losing NE, I'm afraid.2. This agreement, if inked, will give a leverage to India to dictate terms at will in this sector and elsewhere. Say there is a price rise in the international market. India has a million excuses up its sleeves to drag feet.
Seriously folks what's the big deal. Bangladesh requires cotton as a raw material for the rmg sector. India sells cotton. Bangladesh is assuring smooth supply. It will pay a premium as even with premium it is cheaper due to transportation cost.
It's simply business, India can refuse.
Both party gains. Bangladesh is also securing cotton from CIS, turkey, Russia and US.
The goal is simply to secure raw material. Don't see what the controversy is.
Glad to know, Bengalis have finally realised who the double headed poisonous snake really is?
By the way, on behalf of Pakistani establishment and people, I'm sorry for what happened in 1971.
was your idea to post this line in a Bangladeshi thread irrespective of what is discussed on hand?
If the cotton price does go over the contracted price, India will find a way to add fees ( out of the blue) to the locked price.
After that, FM Dipu Moni will travel to India 10 more times to bring back more assurances !!!
Awami Munafiq dalals set to destroy BD economy by importing cheap cotton from arrogant Indian dadas.
And also, BSF beasts are coward.
To be frank i am not able to understand the policy of our Govt....i mean come on yaar instead of promoting Value added product in the country which will more create jobs....they are ready to export raw material to Bangladesh,China or Pakistan....
