10 million or 9 million is not the issue. Issue is almost none of these Hindus fought as Mukti. The reason could be they were expecting a Hindu India to accept them permanently.

Any fair 'war crimes trial' would take to task both those on the rebel/terrorist side who committed massacres, as well as those on the Pakistani side that did so.

If they have committed mass murder or rape then they would have been killed by Mukti fighters right after separation yet there are not even single case against them since the separation beside political one.

This is political case in any sense . why nobody file single case against Jamat leaders and they are participating in almost every election . Its all about political method of awami league is that who ever oppose awami league will be treated as anti liberation force and use it in Election as tool . if mawlana nizami join awami league he will be treat as a patriot leader .

Why to draw a line between black and white by saying certain person is guilty and certain person is not. Look, Bangladesh was not formed by the Gandhian concept. It was built by blood shedding of all sorts of people. Sk. Mujib did not want to divide the population because of conflict of interest with some leaders who wanted an united Pakistan. He thought the issue had been settled with an independent Bangladesh.

But, then, he formed his own Rakkhi Bahini who killed 34,000 JASHOD Party sympathizers. This is the reason why he became unpopular in the country. No one was allowed to sleep at night because of these AL fanatic Bahani.

So, if we want the judicial probe and trial of the perpetrators of 1971, then the country's politics will becomes untenable. The country then will be divided into many sects, and all will be fighting against each other. This is what AL and RAW wanted in the country by carrying out Pilkhana, but, Gen. Moin disappointed them by not allowing his troops to interfere there. The country was saved.

And now, Begum Hasina has come up with another crap that will only divide the population and create anarchy. This is the reason why people like us would oppose the trial of those so-called war criminals of 1971. Remember, in the eyes of Congress, Netaji was a traitor. But, India did not go after his and his collaboratos' probe and trial. Congress leaders understood that the line that divides patriotism from treason is blurred.
