DGCA is acting tough ...I think it's Tit for tat reply to recent downgrade of DGCA ...

I think this is good because it will help to improve standard of services on both sides ...besides making both sides aware of mutual capability to trouble each other ....

Wondering if they will do the same of planes coming from Singapore:)

I do not think so ..we generally share good relations with Singapore .
Singapore may have taken action against erring Indian airlines ...but generally they are not biased with anyone. They enforce rules rather uniformly.

I do not think they will treat Singapore in same vein as they did with American airline...
but who can guarantee ?

Contrary to Singapore's case there are definite signs of deteriorating bilateral relations with US ...
This slide is likely to continue in near future ...

Sir , Can I ask you a personal question ?
how do you view US in general since you belong to generation which was not as pro US as today's generation ?

I think it points towards pro active diplomacy with flexing of our 'muscles' . which is rather a welcome sign. ( Provided it's done in matured way and does not look childish... )

Well !!!! not you have got me in a quandary,:)
My father served as an officer in the army and was not happy with the US, he joined during the 62 war . needless to say that his attitude reflected at home .
but when i grew up and my sis went to the states to complete her MD , i visited her and decided that the policies of the american govt do not reflect the views of the people there. In my 15 odd trips there due to my work i grew to like america, but do i trust her when the shit hits the fan (war)? then the answer would be a NO.

Good work by DGCA ......

US goes on advising others but cannot keep up to the standards .
