In the early hours of 02 November 2024, Security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Sarwakai, South Waziristan District on reported presence of khwarij.
During the conduct of operation, khwarij's location was effectively engaged by own troops, as a result of which, four khwarij were sent to hell.
Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country.
 
On night 3/4 November, Six Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
An intelligence based operation was conducted by Security Forces in general area Dosali, North Waziristan District. During conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij’s location, resultantly one kharji Ahmed Shah@ Intizar was sent to hell.
In another incident, movement of group of khwarij, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces in general area Khamrang, South Waziristan District. Own troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. Resultantly, five khwarij were sent to hell, while three khwarij got injured.
Pakistan has consistently been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.
Security Forces of Pakistan are determined and remain committed to secure its borders and eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
 
The 28th Annual Conference of International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centre (IAPTC) is being hosted for the first time in Pakistan at the Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS), NUST, Islamabad from 4-8 November 2024.
The event officially commenced with the inauguration of new CIPS building by the General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
Under Secretary General, Department of Peace Operations, Jean Pierre Lacroix, United Nation’s Police Advisor, Acting Deputy Military Advisor, Foreign Sectary of Pakistan and Rector NUST, also accompanied the Chief Guest during inauguration and opening ceremony of the conference.
In keynote address to the august gathering, COAS emphasized that global peace today is confronted with ever evolving threats and challenges. Despite the numerous peacekeeping endeavors underway by the UN and other organizations, the plight of innocent Kashmiris and Palestinians serve as a stark reminder that still a lot needs to be done. Guest of Honour, Mr. Jean Pierre Lacroix acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to UN Peacekeeping Operations and appreciated Pakistan for hosting the 28th IAPTC Annual Conference.
Earlier on arrival, COAS was received by Inspector General Training and Evaluation (IGT&E), Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, HI (M).

Indus Shield-Chinese, a bilateral module of Exercise Indus Shield 2024, being conducted separately between Chinese and Pakistan Airforces has concluded at an operational air base of Pakistan Air Force. The exercise witnessed participation from People's Liberation Army Air Force of China, with its personnel and high-tech equipment comprising AESA Radar and Long Range BVR Equipped J-16 & J-10C fighter aircraft, Lethal HQ-22 Surface to Air Defence system, Potent Airborne Electronic Warfare YTG-9 Platform, alongside KJ-500 Airborne Early Warning system pitched against PAF's J-10C and JF-17 Block-III fighter jets simulating contemporary aerial combat scenarios.
The successful execution of such a large-scale exercise demonstrates Pakistan Air Force’s joint operational readiness among allied nations while addressing contemporary security challenges.
Aimed at validating interoperability between China and Pakistan in the face of contemporary air combat challenges and by simulating various military tactics in near realistic multi domain operations training environment, Indus Shield-Chinese has maximized the warfighting potential of both the participating air forces.

 
On 4 November 2024, a fire exchange took place between own troops and the terrorists in Nushki District of Balochistan.
Own troops effectively engaged terrorists’ location, and resultantly one terrorist was sent to hell. Weapon and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.
Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.

During this visit, the Chief of Army Staff met Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, who extended a warm welcome to General Asim Munir upon his arrival at the Royal Palace.
The two dignitaries engaged in a comprehensive discussion on a range of issues of mutual interest, including regional peace, defence and security cooperation, and strategies for enhancing bilateral relations.
COAS expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for his steadfast support for Pakistan and acknowledged his significant role in fostering peace and stability across the region.
COAS also separately met with Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Defence Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dignitaries vowed to further strengthen cooperation in the domain of defence and security.
Meetings were also held with H.E Engineer Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defence; Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Bin Hamed Bin Raqeeb’ Al Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of Royal Saudi Armed Forces and H.E Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani, Chief of Royal Saudi Land Forces.

On 6 November 2024, fire exchange took place between the Security Forces and Khwarij in general area Karama , South Waziristan District.
Resultantly, five Khwarij were sent to hell due to effective engagement by own troops.
However, during the intense fire exchange, four brave sons of soil, Naib Subedar Taib Shah (age: 38 years, resident of District Tank), Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (age: 30 years, resident of District Karak), Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood (age: 30 years, resident of District Karak) and Lance Naik Habibullah (age: 28 years, resident of District Orakzai), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Closing ceremony of 28th Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centre (IAPTC) concluded today at the Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS), NUST, Islamabad.
The closing ceremony was chaired by Secretary Defence Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, HI(M), (Retired) in which he expressed gratitude to the IAPTC Secretariat, panelists, participants and CIPS for conducting a productive and successful week-long conference on Adaptive Training Strategies for Peace Operations.
In the concluding session, the delegates were briefed on the outcomes of fruitful discussions, innovative ideas and proposed initiatives that emerged during the conference. Focus remained on innovative training methodologies, enhancing technology integration, empowering women's participation in peacekeeping and the importance of information integrity.
The conference also highlighted the importance of international collaboration in addressing evolving challenges to peacekeeping.
Former President of IAPTC, Brigadier General Joyce (Kenya) formally handed over the presidency to Principal NIPCONS (NUST Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies) Mr. Raja Aftab Khan.
At the end, all participants expressed their sincere appreciation for the collaborative spirit that defined the event and showed deepest gratitude to the commitment of Pakistan in continuing efforts for the global peace.
The 28th IAPTC Annual Conference has set a strong foundation for future initiatives, reinforcing Pakistan’s resolve to promote peace, security and stability worldwide.

A meeting between Gen Li Qiaoming, Commander PLA Army and Lt Gen Muhammad Avais Dastgir, CGS Pakistan Army was held at PLA Army Headquarters, Beijing on 11 November 2024.
Discussion was focused at evolving global and regional situation and follow up on measures for enhancing bilateral military to military cooperation. During the meeting, CGS offered heartfelt condolences on loss of Chinese lives in recent terrorist attack in Karachi and affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to ensure enhanced security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
The dignitary from China acknowledged Pakistan Army’s efforts and measures for improving the security of Chinese and assured wholehearted support to Pakistan.
Both sides agreed to further enhance mutual cooperation to counter common enemies working against the peace and development of the region. Other areas of defence cooperation were also deliberated and both sides reviewed progress of collaboration in areas of military education, training, equipment and technology.
Both sides agreed to further institutionalise mechanisms for mutual sharing of experiences, and enhancing regular interactions.
