DG ISPR defends Neelum Muneer’s item song in ‘Kaaf Kangana’

I posted here because many people on this forum criticized decision to give Mehwish the national award, and also because many people said that she's being "Wahiyat."

I wanted to see what would their reaction be now that it is an item song done in a project of ISPR, and ISPR itself has justified it.

Second reason was that these justifications are extremely dumbed down and lame.

I personally have no issue, I don't care and I think if people want to do it, let them be. But it feels extremely strange where you have conservative Army supporters and on one side you have ISPR producing this.

It's one of those strange events.

I don't think it's controversial. I just find it funny how people called other women "Wahiyat" won't call this woman that simply because she danced for the sake of the country (lmao) and because the film is a project of the Army's media wing.

I think it's a thing to think about for those people.

The bold part can be negated only by the internal mechanisms of the organization that almost everyone believes to be the only effective institution in the country by due process showing any dereliction followed by appropriate sanctions as and if warranted.

Of course, if regional commanders and dictators are above any accountability, then the organizations they are part of can no longer be idolized endlessly either for allowing them the authority and means to do what they do.

We are at the mercy of generally well-meaning buffoons with limited intellects. When an Army considers the current DG ISPR some kind of genius psy-ops master, it really is time to introspect.

Civilian institutions are perhaps even worse.
