For long time I have been occupied with the development in Central China and Western China.
I feel proud of my own hometown and the development in the interior China.

I have seldom post videos and photos about China's first-tier cities.
I am not even from any of the coastal provinces.....
But this video shot by DJI Inspire 2 is simply amazing.
I feel propelled to show it here.

Truly futuristic! Even more spectacular than just a few years ago. Some people from SP2012 think they are catching up, and that we are standing still. But the reality is they are lagging further behind...haha...

I wonder if this drone is serving in the Indian military.
The drone is DJI Inspire 2, and lens is also from Chinese company (which made this video).
Inspire2 is semi-professional drone (DJI phantom series, the one indian army used to spy Pakistan, is purely for personal use), for Inspire 2 you also need to buy lens.

Non-CBD regions of Shanghai in 2017
Lots of so-called world cities might have a very shining CBD, and that's it.
You go to the suburbs and outskirts, it's all about sh*ts, for example the famous giant apple city.
But in Shanghai, no matter in the very downtown or suburb, the details are always top-notch.

People's Square, Municipal Gov., Shanghai Museum
Downtown Puxi (west to Huangpu River)

West areas, Nanjing West Road

CBD is really far away in the background

Today's Mumbai can't match 15~20 years ago's Shanghai or Beijing; today's india is like China 20 years ago. Mumbai can hardly match China's 3rd even 4th tier cities.. This is the fact.
Shanghai in 2000
Beijing in 2000
Shanghai 2002
From the following video, you can see actually india is always poorer than China since China opened up its economy in 1978, and any of today's indian cities won't look better than this one, and the indian countryside today is as poor as or even poorer than contryside shown in this vedio almost 23 years ago:
Guangdong in 1994

Even in the shitty city you can find a good angle to grasp some nice photos as @Kaptaan suggests.
The greatness of Shanghai and many other Chinese cities is wherever you go, the city is great!

Xinzhuang Flyover, connecting Shanghai Outer Ring Rapid Road, Shanghai-Kunming Expressway (2360km), Shanghai-Jinshan Expressway
the gateway to Shanghai's southwestern outer suburbs.

25km from the CBD

. . .
Jinshan District 70km from CBD
A very far away outer district from CBD
But the expressway network to the city is very good.
And there is a bullet train service every 10-20 min, only take half an hour and 10 yuan.
Housing is very affordable, less than one third of downtown Shanghai.
The district looks more like a random Chinese tier-4 city.

You guys truly have a remarkable infrastructure and India should definitely take China as an inspiration when it comes to the scale and pace of infrastructural development. While you guys think Indians consider themselves as a Superpower, in reality most Indians don't but you know there are 2 sides of a coin and such people exist in any country

We are well aware of the facts that we lag way behind China in infra and income inequality and it is hard to bring change in a country which has been plagued by decades of corruption by the Congress govt and obsolete business policies. Hopefully, our central and state govts follow China's growth policies and how they can integrate in a democratic system and put infra development as a priority

HSR line from Shanghai must be busy.
Yes, Shanghai is currently served by three high-speed railways:
1 Shanghai-Beijing HSR
2 Shanghai-Nanjing HSR
3 Shanghai-Hangzhou-Shenzhen HSR

屏幕快照 2017-11-30 22.49.27.jpg

You can reach most Chinese major cities without transfer by bullet trains.
The entire Yangtze River Delta will see opening of more HSRs in the next 1-2 decades.
The density will increase by at least 2 times.

For example, second Shanghai-Hangzhou, second Shanghai-Beijing, Shanghai-Nantong, etc.

Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station,
served by subway line2/10 (and line 17 next month)
together with Hongqiao Airport forming the Hongqiao Transport Hub

Preparation underway for CIIE
The inaugural CIIE will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Nov 5, 2018.

The organizing committee of Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) revealed the five major tasks for preparation to ensure the successful hosting of the first China International Import Expo (CIIE), at a working conference held on Nov 24.

The tasks include advancing key construction projects for roads and parking lots around the convention center and renovating the local area, making sure hotels, cultural and commercial facilities are operating smoothly, and formulating traffic emergency response plans.

In preparation for the CIIE, the district plans to establish a Hongqiao Foreign Trade Center, an exhibition center for renowned enterprises from the Yangtze River Delta, as well as a Financial Valley and a Smart Valley to attract more regional headquarters for international enterprises and Fortune 500 companies.

The inaugural CIIE will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Nov 5, 2018. More than 100 countries and regions are expected to participate in the expo, with state leaders, entrepreneurs and scholars from various countries taking part.

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced in May this year that China would hold the International Import Expo starting 2018.
