you are nt taking it for free but their you pay 15000 per truck and from here you get it at 10000

Mostly river sand is appropriate for building construction.... in some areas in the south, the river beds are dredged beyond natural repair, hence shortage of sand and difficulty in getting more. Instead of transporting sand from central and north India, it is cheaper to ship it over the sea from Pakistan.

We normally use river sand for construction. There is a huge shortage here now, since a number of sand mafias have cropped up in the recent years. The police are combating it effectively,.....well, at least to an extent.
