“Despite the Himalayas between us, China continues to be a threat,” said Indian Army’s Vice Chief of Staff on Tuesday. Addressing the media at a press conference in the capital, he added that a large portion of China’s defence expenditure is undeclared.

China and India have been engaged in a standoff in the Doklam area in the Sikkim sector, where Indian troops stopped road construction by Chinese soldiers on 16 June.
