Maybe because that nuclear armed country was veering towards incredible instability and became a cause of concern for countries who didn't want the TTP in proximity to dangerous weapons. We became numb to terrorism. Doesn't mean other countries are so lenient.

That isn't the case anymore. No one is looking to do saazishein against us (except India).

Pakistan is a classic case of Dunning Krueger effect. Soviets came to Afghanistan to invade us (no they didn't), we broke the Soviet Union (no we didn't), our allies Taliban defeated the US (while also killing 80,000 Pakistanis).

We're on the list of the poorest countries in Asia, only behind sub Saharan Africa. We're not of particular value.

Not saying that that doesn't happen, because we are dealing with various side of human beings, but I still have people I can rely on that I will be trusted and not be put on a cross before I act on something that is crucifiable. No one has yet judged me for being a spy changing the American culture by introducing some of my eastern values.
I don't see people threatened as much as we do in our country(and I am hoping there are only few who only think like you), because I sincerely hope people will continue to trust human beings for their goodness inside them.
I also believe that if you truly believe and that you are anchored in the values you hold so dear, to be good and pure, then those values cannot be destroyed, changed or maligned so easily that few people can just influence them...
You can carry on your ways and I can carry on my way towards valuing both side of coins I get to see and experience.

Well tell that to those killed by rednecks or blacks or killed by police for being mildly suspicious or become target of excessive use of force. You think they dont care about easterners and muslims coming in and changing their culture? Ull be surprised to find that FBI and CIA have done background checks and know almost everything about u. So much for the trust lolz.
Our suspicions are not misplaced, we learn from history. We have seen how raymond davis type ppl are injected, how christin fair type ppl are used to infiltrate us. We have proved how their NGOs spend money and stir up society. We have seen how they fund LGBT groups and homos in Pakistan. We see their support for feminists and liberal facists. Since u made USA ur home and left ur country whereever it was, please dont judge us or think we are backward. We are here to stay in our country and we run it and we live it and we are in better position to judge.
