Denmark fines woman $156 for wearing face veil after banning burqa, niqab

Too much BS coming from mostly Indian posters. Most of these losers probably don’t know a single person that wears a burqa. Let me clear the air.

1. Almost all women who wear burqas do so out of free choice. It is a misconception that they are forced.

2. Most women in Muslim countries who wear burqa are upper class or middle class. It shows some religious awareness and education.

3. Burqa is a part of the Islamic religion. Not so much the specific dress, but the Umm al Momineen Sunnah action of covering completely. There are different forms like chador, niqab, burqa, etc.

100% agreed. Especially the ones that drive oversized SUV . What a waste of time seeing them trying to park at the mall.
I wanted to get out of my car and offer to park for them

Safest thing to do is park for them , no no, just drive for them :(

.
Most women wear Burkas out of choice, a few on requests of their husbands and fewer out of compulsion.

I will simply quote Jamal Abdul Nasser's view on the burqa ( or the headscarf ) from this vid of his from 1966.

Muslims have regressed from his time.

There is an all-female reactionary burqa gang in Indian Kashmir by the name of Dukhtaraan-e-Millat whose chief, Asiya Andrabi, had threatened some years ago to throw acid on the faces of those women who did not cover up completely. Are you in agreement with her line??

So are you prepared to ban ties (a representation of a cross around the neck)

As far as I know, a tie is simply a piece of clothing to add color to the rest of the clothing.

I don't like the tie.

But do you have proof of the tie being a representation of the cross??

The burqa is a traditional clothing of a sect of Jews. An Egyptian member of parliament, Amna Nosseir, has researched on this and has called for a ban on the burqa.
An Egyptian lawmaker has said members of parliament are drafting a law that would ban women from wearing the burqa in government institutions after alleging the Islamic full-face veil was a "Jewish tradition".

Amna Nosseir said on Sunday that the proposed ban would be in the best interest of Egyptian society and that she has been battling against the burqa over the past 40 years.
Nosseir, who wears the hijab, said on Wednesday that the burqa - known in Arabic as the niqab - had its origins in Jewish religious law.

"In the Old Testament, you find in chapter 38 that the Jewish religious authorities tell you that if Jewish women leave the house without covering the face and head then they are breaking Jewish religious law," the lawmaker said during an interview with local media.
"I have gathered around 20 texts by Jewish religious authorities that completely forbid women from showing their faces and heads," Nosseir said while discussing also banning female university students from wearing "ripped jeans" in lectures.

She added that this part of Jewish law became entrenched in pre-Islamic Arab tribes of the Arabian Peninsula and then spread throughout the Middle East with the Muslim conquests.
The verse the lawmaker could be referring to is Genesis 38, where a biblical figure encounters his daughter-in-law in the street and mistakes her for a prostitute because she had covered her face with a veil.

Additionally, on this very thread in the "Similar threads" section at the bottom, is a thread title about this Egyptian move and is dated from 2016 :

The Burqa , Abaya, Niqab etc have nothing to do with Islam. These are all cultural dresses that predate Islam and found in concepts of female honor.
Islam only has the requirement of satar whose parameters are clearly defined in the Quran. However they are met is upto the individual muslim to decide.

A Saudi princess, whose name I don't remember, had said a similar thing a few years ago.

Muslims believe in both Quran and Sunnah. Hijab is found in Quran being obligatory.

Burqa is sunnah or nafl depending on your mazhab. It is found in sahih hadith sources.

You told me in a previous thread that you don’t identify as a Muslim. If so, why the problem with burqa? Let us Muslims decide that.

If you find a terrorist who is a Muslim, you will somewhere find in him or her influence of the Tableeghi Jamaat.

No, the european people decide it.

When you are in Europe, you show your face or get out. This is part of our culture. You either follow that or leave. Its an easy concept.

Don’t quote me, fascist.

Im a proud facist. And here in our countries you do as we order. In Italy you dont get a fine for wearing a burka. Here the people rip it down.

The nice times are over. We have a far right government and othet countries in Europe as well.

And thats just the beginning.

Find the exact verse, Sunnah is debatable and always suspect regardless of Sahih , Hasan or Daif.
Everything needs to correlate to the Quran as it is the only source without doubt. So where is the verse with either Burqa or Hijab in the Quran?

sure i wont but lets hope you dont give respect to indian women by raping her!
Is that how you treat women over there?
Don't worry, the womenfolk in your country will get their freedom too. You won't be able to oppress them forever.

That’s your personal belief. For Sunni Muslims, both Quran and Hadith are important. In fact we don’t consider Muslims who reject Hadith as Muslims due to seeing it as rejection of prophethood.

Hindutva bigot, a Muslim woman’s choice of thread is of absolute no concern to you.

We don’t tell Hindu women how to dress, so mind your manners. Behave as a guest which you are.

We have a little Mussolini here.

And they have forgotten what Nazism and Fascism did to Europe.
