Let's not laugh at others' misfortune nor should we take advantage of the situation.

There are many poor and rural villagers in India who are greatly impacted. There were reports of suicides.

It looks to me like proper testing of the ATM machines were not carried out. India should punish those responsible for this fiasco.

Nobody try to laugh at such matter but when one bragging about non existent capabilities to replace import. The talk of boycott is even more epic.

China exports eight-inch chips to India

CHANGSHA, Nov. 15 -- China's leading locomotive maker, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co. Ltd., has made the country's first bulk export of eight-inch chips to India.

The company, based in Zhuzhou City in central China's Hunan Province, said on Tuesday that it exported eight-inch insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) chips that will be used for upgrading the transformers of 100 locomotives in India to make the electric trains more energy-efficient.

The China-made chips are currently used on the 7,200-kilowatt electric locomotives that power China's high-speed trains.

CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co. Ltd. built the world's second eight-inch chip production line in 2014, which has reached annual output of 120,000 chips and 1 million IGBT modules.

The IGBT chip is a key technology of modern electric appliances. It can be used in everything from high-speed rail to the aerospace and aviation industries.

The Chinese locomotive maker expects the chips to have huge export potential.

This looks sturdy like those Nokia phones.

If today was 1998, this phone would have been a market disruptor. But I do not think the battery life of Freedom 251 is as good as 5110.

Freedom 251 also lacks the innovative aspect that 5110 had in its time.

People may make fun of India in many posts regarding demonetization, however the fact is, India has dealt a severe blow to Money Laundering, Tax Evasion, Corruption and many other financial crimes. The move is excellent and now I can only disgust at why the Indian Government could do that and not the Pakistani Government.

Like a court judge, who delivers his/her verdict - Only after listening to BOTH parties. I would recommend you to realize the demonetization's demerits by listening, viewing & reading other's views too to balance yourself.

I will not comment on the earlier part of your post as I neither have time nor I find this the right thread to do so.

I do not agree with Indian Government's stance on stepping up tension along the border with us. It can never serve their purpose, India just cannot gain advantage militarily.
