Bringing the wall down: One side of the road open, one more to go

On the eve of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s protest to demolish the wall surrounding the Bilawal House, the Sindh government opened one side of the thoroughfare for the public, after which tension erupted between the PTI and Pakistan Peoples Party’s workers.

On Friday evening, PTI’s MNA Arif Alvi and MPA Khurram Sher Zaman along with party workers gathered near the wall. As news spread of their demonstration today [Sunday] to demolish the wall, one side of the thoroughfare was opened, surprising commuters who’ve seen it closed for the past five years. Vehicles, however, could not pass through the road, which was being cleaned by sweepers.

These looters can do anything they want to do. They live in their bubble. They have no apparent source of income but look at their homes, their life styles. The whole area around Bilawal House in Karachi is a illegally procured land.

They are not leaders, but rulers. They want to rule the country. No law applies on them and no law will they accept. I m angry at the people who defend these thugs. I m very surprised members of MQM, a party which claims to be in a crusade against feudal system, are actually defending PPP but making fun of PTI.

Always knew all status quo parties are the same. Never thought they will be so similar in testing times.

Any particular reason for raising this issue at this point in time ?

PTI is a political party, and yes they also need to keep the public engaged. But this wall issue is completely different. Sindh High Court ordered to demolish this illegal wall and Sindh Govt didn't take any action.

im not a pro PPP by any mean, i'm the die-heart supporter of Pervez Musharraf but i have one question to PTI that why would you take law in your hands isn't it against the law? first of all its not your or civilian matter it is the responsibility of Police or CDA to destroy it, not public why Imran Khan is inciting public on this? Please tell me why with logic!

I am not pro pti like you. But as you said u are a die heart fan of Musharraf. At least you should not talk about LAW. Who was the guy who took over gov and declared our constitution null and void?. I think It's time people should tell these thugs and family ltd companies, enough is enough. Get in the line or leave the way. It's democracy ,people's gov ,so it's people who should decide not these thugs. If cda or court orders can not be implemented , people have the right to implement court orders.even if iks party doing something wrong people should stand up for it.
