Demolish Gulalai’s house if accusations not proved, Khattak's aide asks jirga

Adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Malik Shah Muhammad Khan Wazir has asked for a tribal jirga to demolish the house of MNA Ayesha Gulalai if she fails to prove harassment allegations against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.


“We demand an unconditional apology from Ayesha Gulalai, otherwise her house will be demolished in line with tribal laws,” Wazir said while addressing a news conference at the Bannu Press Club on Thursday.

He also called upon the jirga to revoke Gulalai’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) domicile.

The PTI on Wednesday served the estranged MNA a show-cause notice and suspended her basic party membership just a day after disgruntled Gulalai claimed she was harassed by Imran and others.

The adviser termed the accusations against the party chairman as a “political suicide”.

“Gulalai was bribed by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to malign Imran for his efforts against corruption as well as in the Panamagate case,” Wazir said.

The Supreme Court on July 28 disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif for hiding assets in his nomination papers for 2013 polls

Gulalai’s startling assertions had hurt the sentiments of tribal women, he added.

Seems a little like over kill. I assume the lady in question has the texts or she can get it from the service provider.

Even if she is lying there's no law that says that you need to break down the house of all liars or false accusers. If there was such a law, I'm sure this chief minister for mass transit would be living in a tent by now.

No they cannot---because he is supposedly a # 2 pathan---. They cannot be charged in a similar manner.

Are you saying that there is a law that allows this man to hand out punishment? Is it a codified law? Can the federal police act against him if he does something like break her house - which seems to me to be an illegal act?

Well all she has to do is prove it and then everyone will show her support and law should be used otherwise if she can't prove it then she has not only lost all credibility she should also be punished under the constitution same applies to anyone and everyone in Pakistan

Yes in FATA. Malik can punish someone by destroying his house. Common laws don't extend to FATA so powerful people there can get away with murder without worrying about police, court etc

But I don't think she live in FATA but Peshawar.

She resides in the jurisdiction of Fata---the Fata residents may chose to judge her in their own manner---but they do not have any jurisdiction over Imran Khan.
