Democracy In Arab World: Reality Or Pipedream?

What we think as barbaric may not be barbaric to them. They are used to barbarism. They can behead in public as many as possible every year with sword but I really wish they had at least removed that sword under the holy Shahadah from its flag. I have an issue with it since it is under the kalema.

Modern democracy comes when the people of a given country can successfuly kick out their State from their mosques and churches and Synogogues.

Unless people in Middle East, or even in Iran and Pakistan insist on allowing their governments and politicians to spread political $hit in their mosques, democracy will even if it comes, limited to elections.

Election while important are only the first step towards an inclusive democracy,

But we'll remain stuck with the first step for a long time to come.


People are talking about BDesh here. Their democracy is being usurped by narrow minded politicians as well.

So if you want to see a true and healthy democracy then as a nation you must hold high the following

1. Inclusive of all religions but never allowing state to use/abuse/implement laws as if they they are divine.
2. Inclusive of all ethnicities but never allowing state to use ethnic background to use/abuse/implement system based on one dominant ethnic/racial group.
