BHUBANESWAR, India: The Indiaís military on Friday conducted a successful test of a short-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile, defence sources said on Friday. “It was a user trial of the army version of the 150-250 kilometre-range Prithvi,” a defence scientist said on condition of anonymity.

Though the test is a normal Army sampling test, the good news is that the Army and the DRDO have managed to reduce the CEP to almost nill, i.e., single digit accuracy. Further testing might enable the Army to use the Prithvi - II (350 km range) as a precision weapon.
