Taiwan and Azad Kashmir is different issue. India promise UN a plebiscite, that never occur. Then claim Azad Kashmir belongs to India.

And it is just shame pretext using Azad kashmir as to oppose BRI. In fact, India oppose every single BRI initiative in Nepal, Maldive, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangala, even in places that has no dispute with India.

Indian promise of plebiscite was not unconditional, it was conditional on peaceful environment in Kashmir with army out of the area. Pakistan never withdrew their forces and let Pashtoon to settle in Kashmir hence no plebiscite is possible.

And yes, Taiwan and Kashmir are politically similar for China and India respectively.

Answer this, will China like to join any organization that even so hints at legitmacy of Taiwan as a separate country or as genuine government of whole of China?
