Please note: Odd-even rule just came into force at 10.00-10.30am. Map below is pre enforcement. Something we can compare with.

Rule has been active for approx. 2 hours.

Note: New monitoring station at Civil Lines.

Its a complete failure, even for a day which is a holiday and hardly much cars anywys.

Correction @gau8av : It is still for 15 days. NDTV is confirming.

So it's working. 291, that's progress right. Comparing to surrounding areas.

I mean it has been done else where and the effects are said to be around 40% reduction.

This map is pre enforcement of the rule. The rule just started. This map is before the rule came into force. Updates after a few hours will show the difference(if any).

I hope the Chinese people will support us in our struggle against pollution.

I was driving a car in Delhi half an hour ago,enforcement was strict,people were being fined Rs 2000 by traffic police and traffic was very light!Delhi roads are pleasure to drive on if traffic is reduced

On a certain days of the week vehicles with number plates ending with 1,3,5,7,9 are disallowed on the roads
On the other days of the week, the vehicles with number plates ending with 2,4,6,8 are disallowed.

This cures the pollution by decreasing the number of polluters on the roads. In other words this gives the environment chance to heal itself up by decreasing the numbers on the enemy forces (polluters)

Its just start i hope people follow rules later when they become used to it, because then some might try breaking rules. Although more convinient way might have been better. Delhi government need to buy more buses they are very less.

Agreed. In some ways it just doesn't make sense to disallow people from using what they have bought in the first place because the Govt, fails to provide them the quality transport for daily use

What happens to car no. Plates ending with 0?
