@Neptune Do you have details on what we are importing from Turkey?
I have no idea. Thats why in order to get the attention of Indian members to get information, I opened separate thread on Indian defence forum. I really wonder what the products are. But whats even more surprising is that regardless of the low value of defence contracts between the two countries, this year has shown a rise as high as 125 percent.
"Turkish exports to India are believed to have been realised through the private-sector companies, as there is no known direct defence deal between the two countries."
"However, India had the most remarkable rise in Turkish defense and aviation imports. After receiving imports worth only $235,000 in 2015, India increased its Turkish defense and aviation imports to $47 million in 2016."
As per this Article https://www.dailysabah.com/defense/...d-aviation-industry-double-in-past-five-years
No. Turkey probably didn't export any or just non-lethal defence goods to India. We already discussed this topic in the general thread about Turkish defence news. Almost every export to İndia is aviation industry related. Turkey unfortunately doesn't distinguish between defence goods and dual use goods for consumer markets. On top of that, if Aselsan exports to a foreign country, it's considered as a defence related export even though the exported good might be for civilians. The government should change this system.Maybe no announcements of the exports from the Turkish companies to avoid the Pakistani outrage?
