Day 1 for Naval News at DEFEA 2021, the International Defense Exhibition held in Athens, Greece. We focused on the future frigate requirement of the Hellenic Navy and interviewed five of the six contenders. ===================== Fincantieri FREMM Damen Sigma 11515 Naval Group FDI Lockheed Martin HF2 Babcock Arrowhead 140

I was about to make a thread about it,but I see you posted it the video.
The Hellenic Navy is currently looking for:
1.The acquisition of a future frigate
2.A stop-gap solution, meaning some ships to bolster our navy in the immidiate future
3.The modernization of 4 MEKO 200HN frigates

The French are now saying they could have the second FDI frigate ready by 2025 and the deal will be for 4 frigates. At first we expected them to offer us two La Fayette frigates as stop-gap solution, but instead they offered the antiquated Cassard.

Currently the Dutch proposal with the SIGMA 11515HN is on the top of the list along with the French one,but the Americans have been nagging to the government about accepting their deal for their much inferior offer and the MMSC frigates...

The video's worth watching!
