Debunking Afghan Myths and Lies

Did ISI give British intelligence access to stingers which the article claims were given to AS Massud by British intelligence? Because we know for sure that the missiles were handed over to ISI which was SOLELY responsible for their delivery to Mujahedden.

Huh? So you admit! Then why do you fellows keep shouting from the rooftops that you are NOT selling nuke secrets to other countries?

Pakistan is the world's biggest nuclear proliferator providing nuke know how to North Korea, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Iran! And you want to join the NSG? And conclude a nuke deal with the US like India? Jeeez!
DEAR KID ORION PAKISTAN IS NOT Signatory OF NPT.

Let me see where the problem began by listing out the events in the sequence it happened
1) Pushtunistan problem begins in 1893.
2) status quo continued until 1947 when India was partitioned, after which Afghanistan argued that Pushtun areas of Pakistan should have the option for independence.
3) Pushtunistan issue continued to simmer into the 1950s.
4) 1961, Kabul and Islamabad severed diplomatic relations.
5) The 1971 war, which reinforced the point that in Pakistan ethnicity trumped religion.
6) 1973, Daoud overthrew his cousin Zahir Shah and declared Afghanistan a republic.
7) Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto responded by supporting an Islamist movement in Afghanistan >>>>> The problem began here.
Afghan govt was also supporting, arming, training and hosting Baluch rebels and terrorists. Bhutto just responded in kind.

Mere contact???
Well afaik............. many senior leaders of the Afghanistan Taliban were closely associated with and had attended the Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary in Akora Khattakin Pakistan, includingMullah Omar, and its role in supporting the Taliban. The seminary is run by Maulana Sami ul Haq of theJamiat Ulema-e-Islam who is often referred to as the "Father of the Taliban".
In First Questions there are names of some peoples who were trained ex-soviet Professionals.

Firstly, I ain't a kid. I started greying when you were still in your diapers! :P

Secondly, does that mean you can supply nukes and its technology with impunity to any country that wants it just because you haven't signed the NPT?? That's a lame argument. India is a non signatory too but is bound by international norms to not proliferate WMDs unlike Pakistan.

In this whole story about "Pakistan created the Taliban" india is the randi that did the most rona dhona and sold the story to western analysts who just lapped it up and from there on it became the norm to say that Pakistan created the Taliban.

India was in bed with the communist regime in Afghanistan , after the fall of Soviets during infighting between various Afghan factions , india still backed the leftovers from the afghan communist regime , those who are called Taliban are inhabitants of Afghanistan, they have not been "created" , the infighting and warlord violence is what gave rise to the Taliban as a fighting force , first in Kandahar and from there on it spread

Basically the horse that india backed in afghanistan lost the race hence the randi started rona dhona , fact of the matter is that the Taliban rose up on its own

statement 2
contradictory!!!

Sorry for grave-digging this thread, but the Taliban was not created by ISI.

The book your compatriot mentioned:
Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan and Bin Laden - Steve Coll - Google Books

Highlights that the Taliban was formed in Kandahar, in resistance to the numerous warlords ruling the country. Their first few goals was to unite the country and to bring back the king of the country, Zahir Shah. Pakistani intelligence, however, never supported any Royalist faction or Mujahid leader during the Afghan war. It was only after numerous Taliban gains that leaders like Benazir Bhutto had begun to believe they could work with the Taliban and possibly connect Pakistan to the newly-formed Central Asian states. Now, you can complain that Pakistan should have never been involved with the Taliban. Surely there was an alternative? Who do you propose? The countless warlords and drug-traffickers and tribal leaders running rampant in the country? Like Iran, Russia, China and India did? Sure they were some of the most depraved and corrupt men out there, but they weren't Islamic fundamentalists bringing stone-age laws, right? Oh damn, scratch that, most of them originally fought against the Soviet Union to form an Islamic state governed by Shariah.
Average Iranian's knowledge of pakistan is limited to 3 words : Poor eastern neighbor.

And I always thought the average Iranian's knowledge of Pakistan was limited to 4 words: Evil Wahabist-Zionist puppet.

6) 1973, Daoud overthrew his cousin Zahir Shah and declared Afghanistan a republic.
7) Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto responded by supporting an Islamist movement in Afghanistan >>>>> The problem began here.

It seems you've brushed aside how hostile Afghanistan had been in Pakistan for the much of the late 20th century. We were invaded twice by Afghanistan, were facing Soviet subversion in KPK, Balochistan and East Pakistan and were expected to sit back and watch as our country was being amputated. I'll tell you where the problem starts. It started off when India sold itself off to the Soviet Union and became a centre of operations for the KGB. We all like to whine and moan about the United States and their dirty doings in the world but that's because the US was democratic enough to divulge most of their secrets under the Freedom of Information act. Most of the KGB secrets will remain secrets and we will only ever know what they were doing in the sub-continent by taking a leaf out of what they were doing elsewhere.

. . .
Yeh, our nr.1 priority is to split up Pakistan. I mean we have nothing else to do so Pakistan will be our top priority.:cheesy:

Haha, nah, I understand what you mean, buddy. How could Pakistan be your top priority when you're engaged in a Jihad against the Great Satan and at the same time, trying to complete Sir Adolf Hitler's noble mission?
