My Pakistan friends, please do not get involved in, your friendship should not be broken for the conflict between China and Vietnam. And please, the communist government is one thing and China is another. Chinese love China, but not the government or the party.

Americans, we should have been good partners, but we are both more preferable to take the other country as a enemy for some reasons, mainly historically and politically. No one likes the communist party of China, but there is no position for you to make any comment on it.

Firstly, please do not forget the history that Vietnam had been a part of China for approximately 1,000 years, after which it was a longer period that Vietnam was China's denpendency. Vietnam was similar to China than any other countries, even than Korean and Japan, both on culture and system before we lost you. So, be in your suitable position, especially in nowadays. Why are you picking on the Vietnamese? In their hearts they love China and want to be part of China. Just look at their flag! It is like the upper corner of the PRC flag. Better that China welcomes the Vietnamese into its brotherly arms, kisses their sweet faces, and helps them to overcome their poverty .....

During the Vietnam War, the Vietnamese fought the Americans savagely. In the end, the Americans were kicked out like dogs with their tails between their legs. And what is this? This dog they kicked out happened to be the world's most powerful military.

China's war with Vietnam resulted in the delay of its 1979-80 economic plan. In fact, China failed to achieve the goal of dissuading Vietnam from its involvement in Cambodia (with a genocidal regime at the time).

The end achievement for China? Yeah maybe some muscle showing toward the USSR and its scorched earth policy toward Vietnam - not much.

Point is, just because China is technologically more advanced than Vietnam, it doesn't mean that China is going to win over them in the event that it invades Vietnam for some reason. Although I doubt if that is likely unlike what some Vietnamese here are passionately suggesting.

Vietnam is one of the largest destinations for foreign direct investment in South East Asia. The country has good potential and has come a long way from the ashes of war and can go further.

Just, try to get along and stay out of trouble.

Bro, don't let the anger clouding your judgement.

Yeah, we need to protect our islands and sovereignty, but warmongering behavior is not what we use in our future journey.

First, bombing Vietnam back into stone age would only create an image of fear for China in the World, it won't benefit us in the long term.

Second, Vietnam also suffered a traumatic past just like China, its people want to live a better life, there is nothing wrong with that from their point of view.

Even some conflicts are inevitable, but at least trying to keep some limit, and don't act like those immature Viet Ultranationalists.

I think your forgetting about the fact, that Vietnam won the war because of the military aid from USSR and China and if they didn't get it they would of lost 100 %. I mean where do you think they got all those thousands of SA-2 , T-55 , Ak-47 , Mig-21, Mig-17 , Mig-19, and their Chinese counter parts they surely didn't build it.

USSR back then was more rich and more powerful than China, so you can't expect China to contribute the exactly same amount of help.
