These three words have become so ubiquitous in the main stream media of the country that many gullible and even smart observers get fooled by it. Certain sections of media have been involved in a systematic campaign that revolves around these words and when most of the big guns of media bombard the brains of their audiences / viewers with the same words but in their own styles, the viewers are bound to believe that something fishy is going on despite the repeated & categorical denials by the PM of the country. This is the part of the hybrid war as it creates unrest, mistrust and uncertainty.
When bureaucrats and other government officials listen to such a propaganda and they are are made to believe that these same crooks will return to the power, they get scared and it is influences their actions given the track records of PMLn and PPP of dealing with the bureaucracy and other state institutions.
This uncertainty also helps these parties to stay intact because a lot of their members are just opportunists since both of these parties have no political ideology other than staying in the power and making money through unfair means.
But this uncertainty scares the investor and creates an atmosphere of distrust between the masses and the govt/state.
Thus these anchors/analysts and media houses are waging a war against the state especially at a time when country's economy is going through a difficult time of corrections and adjustments.
What does the media gain?
Sensationalism always fetches TRPs. But also huge sums from the corrupt politicians who are facing the music of their corruption and malpractices. Funding from foreign sources cannot be ruled out since there has been evidence of such fundings in the past under various programs and projects.
The opposition has failed totally in mobilising the masses against the govt. Bilawal's train march proved nothing but useless journey from one end to the other end of the country. Maryam Nawaz has tried her best to bring people on the roads but she can't even control the elected members of PMLn. APC was a flopped show. Even though masses facing one the worst economic situations in years, still they are not responding to the frantic calls for protest by the combined opposition since there's a general realisation that these corrupt parties are in fact responsible for the current plight of the country.
But slowly the truth is prevailing. Lies spread at the lightening pace but in end only the truth wins. PM Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi's direct talk with the leading media persons dispelled most of the wrong impressions, rumours and false propaganda related to some kind under the table deal between the establishment and the opposition.
PM has also ordered the ministry of the law to change the production order rule and even more important is the change of the jail category for culprits of money laundering and corruption. These two steps will make sure that these goons throw up their hidden wealth into the hands of the state. There is no other way around. The PM and the state won't budge, won't flinch.
And the arrest of Rana Sana ullah is just a topping on the ice cream. The deck of cards will start a free fall.
