Dengue fever has targeted two more lives in Faisalabad and over 80 patients have been tested positive for the disease in the city on Saturday.
Laboratories remained closed in Faisalabad owing to protest of Grand Health Alliance due on account of it the tests of patients could not be conducted.
16 sufferers are admitted to Allied and Civil Hospitals in the city.
114 more patients have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 24 hours.
262 patients are admitted to hospitals in the province.
11 more persons are affected in Khyber district where the total number of patients has surged to 177.
3,549 persons have been tested positive for the disease in the province in total.
Eight more patients – including two women – suffered from the disease in Lahore where the total number has risen to 108.
Six dengue patients were shifted to Nishtar Hospital in Multan where 68 individuals have been reported so far.
2500 patients were brought to Islamabad’s Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in three days and 500 were tested positive for dengue.
80 patients are undergoing treatment at PIMS dengue ward.
Over 300 persons were diagnosed with dengue at Polyclinic Hospital and over 100 are admitted.
14 patients in Rawalpindi are in critical condition.
169 more cases have been surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.
According to Dengue Response Unit, 42 more patients have been diagnosed with the dengue fever in Peshawar, after that, total numbers reached at 1,766, while 43 in Shangla total numbers jumped to 172 and 6 in Swat where total numbers of affected people climbed at 188.
3,298 persons have been tested positive for the disease in the province in total.
Condition in Punjab is also critical as 160 people were affected by the dengue fever in past 24 hours in Rawalpindi whereas the number of sufferers has surged to 5,235 in the district and 16 persons have lost their lives.
Eight more patients suffered from the disease in Lahore where the total number has risen to 93.
The dengue outbreak affected four persons in Faisalabad where 73 individuals have been reported so far.
It is to be noted that 18 patients are undergoing treatment at Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital and two of them are in critical condition.
On September 24, two people were died in Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi.
The toll number of viral fever risen to 12 in the city for the current year.
The deceased were identified as 30-year-old Abdul Basit, he was the resident of Chakwal.
Another incident was occurred at the private hospital when a young man was died to dengue fever.
The deceased was identified as 24-year-old Shoaib, he also died due to the dengu fever at private hospital.
According to the report, the toll number of dengi patients has risen to 4,992 in Punjab, 2, 397 in Sindh, 2,267 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 773 in Balochistan.
Earlier, on September, 23, at least 248 more patients diagnosed with dengue virus as the epidemic disease continues to spread day by day.
The 248 who became a target of dengue in the last 24 hours in Punjab, out of which 224 belonged to twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi while 4 each belonged to Sargodha and Mandi Bahauddin and two belonged to Lahore.
Other than that, 109 new cases of dengue reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the last 24 hours which brings the total number of patients affected by the virus reached 2614.
The outbreak of dengue epidemic has affected thousands of people across the country and 17 patients have died so far of the disease yesterday.
According to the Special Assistant for National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza said that 10,000 patients were effected by dengue epidemic.
Hundreds of sufferers are arriving at hospitals daily owing to poor arrangements for prevention of dengue fever.
It has been learnt that anti-dengue spray has not been sprinkled yet in Karachi.
According to details, the virus has been diagnosed in more 210 patients in Rawalpindi while Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan and other cities have also got affected by it.
The number of dengue patients in Rawalpindi has surged to over 2000.
1400 cases have been reported in Peshawar, 66 in Karachi, 55 in Lahore, 47 in Faisalabad and 22 in Multan.
Dengue virus has also spread in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhang and other cities. Meanwhile, 17 patients were died due to dengue.
Earlier, on September 20, a total of 348 dengue cases were reported in Punjab in 24 hours.
According to the Dengue Control Program, 3,674 people are suffering from dengue in the country and the number has increased to 2,158 only in Punjab.
At least 348 new dengue cases were reported in 24 hours, out of which 127 were reported in Rawalpindi, 198 in Islamabad and 19 cases from 4 other cities including Lahore.
According to the Dengue Control Program, the number of dengue patients in Lahore has increased to 53.
