What's new

Days of getting a defence contract because you know somebody are gone: Baba Kalyani, Bharat Forge

Better Sell some guns to Afghanistan and test our systems there. These guns would give good capacity to our Afghanistan
Actually, a good idea there- there's no better test enviroment than live combat and the Afghans have been crying out to India for military supplies.

+ Calling a sovereign land "our" isn't advisable brother, it's rather insulting IMHO.

Who among you expect an Indian industrialist that is hoping to get contracts or winning contracts will say anything negative about current regime? Not saying its untrue what he says, but its expected that most industrialists will rather lick feet of ruling politician than make any fuss publicly.

True but generally they take the approach of Praise in public and criticize in private.

For example, during the prior UPA regime, Industry had many complains which they aired in private.

The fact that they are praising in public shows that they are happy with the current policies of this regime (does not necessarily mean they are the right policies though but in most cases they are).

well, we dont know what they talk in private about current regime. Even among them, some will be winners and some will be losers. Am not sure whether his good words about current regime is because he is winning/hoping to win some deals.

It's true to an extent but I remember the same company (BF) complaining plenty under the UPA about being overlooked, not being given accsess to testing ranges etc etc and the private sector as a whole was crying out for reforms publically. Yes, there is a compulsion to keep on the good side of the Govt but I don't doubt there is some truth to that as these same people have not been shy in the past of criticising.

That's where presstitudes come handy...obviously you cannot come ahead in criticizing govt policies as you want to milk them(nothing wrong there) however since the issues needs to be fixed you use the media to put pressure by leaking stories...standard procedure...not much is being heard is a good sign...no??
