It takes a special kind to mock others on something one is not even capable of.

Nothing wrong with that, China will sell to you if you stop your hostility towards China.

Chinese in general have no ill will towards Indians - see how few Chinese even talk about India in contrast to the hundreds of anti-China Indian youtube channels like Wion and TFI.

No need to troll. The guy got Covid after the first dose. It requires 14 days post second dose to develop enough immunity (if the vaccine is effective... considering the results of other covid vaccines being tested).

That said, I seriously believe India is not capable enough to run the whole program. There are proven methods to develop a vaccine. Even Pakistan can make a vaccine using the old but proven approach that requires inactivated corona virus. What India has done here is that they have followed the Chinese footsteps.

Chinese vaccines are being developed using inactivated virus strains. The phase 1 and phase 2 trials in China started before Indian phase 1 trials in which the important information about the gap between two doses, time period after the second dose to develop the immunity against live virus and many other aspects were concluded.

However, it's not only the development of few doses of vaccine that matters. Inactivated vaccines require specialized labs that grow virus strains that can be used in the development of 100s of millions of doses. The bio security requirement of such labs (and of course we are talking about multiple labs here as millions of doses are required just to achieve herd immunity in India) are so tough that it is very difficult to maintain multiple labs where live virus can be securely and safely grown. I don't know how many dose India is capable of producing. Initial news suggest that Indian vaccine will not enough as India is securing supplies from other countries.

By the time phase 3 trials are completed in India, many players will have obtained the required approvals and many millions will have been already vaccinated around the globe.

Anyway, it's a good step from India and will help them in future.
