Davutoglu: Liberation of occupied Azerbaijani lands strategic goal for Turkey

With these traitor Akp government, you pray these scum doesnt side with Armenia. :)
Are you a Gulenist? I thought that you are pro AKP, since you are religious. I think I was wrong about you. :)

. .
Thank you for that perspective. I had heard that many Azeris held such a view, but I suppose the "legal issues" draw more attention to the Armenian issue, instead of the Iranian one.
Yes, the majority of southern Azerbaijanis would want a united Azerbaijan with Northern Azerbaijan. I believe that the issue with Armenia is more easy to be solved. Also, this issue has made the Southern Azerbaijanis to have more Azerbaijani nationalist sentiments. Also, Iran's help to Armenia, has made Southern Azerbaijanis overwhelmingly anti-Farsi and made them more determined to look after their own self-determination right.

Mhp, formerly active in youth movement. Now working.
MHP? I did not expect to hear that :)
MHP is my favorite party in Turkey.

Fascinating. We in the US almost never hear about the internal dynamics of Iran, except for the mullah/reformer divide. Have you seen any evidence of Azeri agitation for autonomy/independence/federation with Azerbaijan in Iran, or are disagreements limited to internal Iranian politics?

Again, thanks for the insight.

People in USA usually don't know what are Azerbaijan, Iran, or Armenia. They are far away from USA, and specially Azerbaijan is not much in the media. When I say to my American friends that I am Azerbaijani, they usually don't know her. They usually don't know Armenia, and Georgia either. Then I usually say that it's close to Turkey and Russia and then they figure out about it.
So far, there have been demonstrations against Iran in Azerbaijani regions and they usually tend to bring down Iran flags in their cities. Also there is one famous Azeri team which its fan reaches to 80,000 in each game and they mostly chant Pro-Azerbaijani, and anti-Iranian slogans in the stadium. Basically, they just come to stadium, solely to chant Azerbaijani nationalist slogans. You can also see the facebook page of one of separatist Azerbaijani goups, GAMOH, which has 400 K likes in facebook, which is almost the same number as total likes of Iran page in facebook, which is around 430K. By considering that Azerbaijanis and Turks are about 1/3 of total population of Iran, you can see almost all of them prefer to like the page of GAMOH instead of Iran. In sum, the common hatred with persians is very high, and just needs a flame to explode.

PS. BTW, this so called reformist/fundamentalist is a hoax to deceit westerners. All of them are puppets of Khamenei. If USA seriously wants to change the situation in Iran, the best and easiest solution is to help separatist groups to separate their land from Iran. Iran has nothing if you separate the oil rich arab region of southern Iran and the Southern Azerbaijan.

That's an interesting take on the situation, but how could it be carried out in a practical sense? Arming Azerbaijan, arming Azeri dissidents in Iran, or simply holding the line on sanctions, and waiting for internal divisions to eventually do the job? You know how war-weary the US is today, so I don't see any active military role in the cards. As I understand it, Israel has developed something of a military relationship with Azerbaijan, but it would seem impractical for Israel and Azerbaijan to try anything so long as Turkey remains interested in a detente with Iran.

In any case, interesting times. Best of luck to the Azeris.

Yes, it can be carried out. The solution is helping Southern Azerbaijani groups, and they know how to get the job done ;) What they lack is a strong support in USA to achieve such goal. helping Northern Azerbaijan, which is pro western as well, can also help a lot in the process. I believe that Israel and Turkey would be the two countries who will help this process. I firmly believe that helping separatist groups, specially helping Azeris and Arabs in Iran, is the best, cheapest, and most feasible option to put leash on Iranian regime. I lived in Iran a long time and I know their mentality very well, and that's why I am 100.00% sure that mullahs will never stop the attempt to achieve nuclear bomb. Even the P5+1 negotiations with Iran would fail in long term. Israelis have understood this very well, and that's why they oppose this negotiations. Anyway, I do agree with sanctions, but I want them to be increased more in a way that the regime collapses from inside. In sum, the solution is helping GAMOH, Northern Azerbaijan government, seeking help from Israel and Turkey, and also regulating more sanctions. Other wise, mullahs will definitely build nuclear bombs.

Thank you brother.

Thank you brother.

USA will prefer Kurds over Azerbaijani Turks. Just better keep in mind. Remember Ralph Peters map. Tabriz in Kurdistan.

. .
Ralph Peters was part of thinktank, They don't represent US governemnt. Also there are no Kurds in Tebriz.

That's right. Anyway, that map was not necessarily accurate or was not necessarily intended to be done as it is mentioned there. If we want to believe conspiracy theories, ISIS has done progress in this plan, but we can see that Sunni Iraq, and Sunni Syria are united with each other in contrast to that map which were separated from each other.

traitor Akp government

better than traitors scumbags of chp, mhp, bdp masonship.. they burned our country down.. these akp give some wealth the only problem is they are not strong enough against our enemeys..

but somehow I think we have to try the good cop against Kurds.. if this does not work we have to be bad cop.. then we can say we tried the good way.. you cannot only rely on voilence..
I would also wanted assad down without going in..

and to the topic we have to fully get these lands back to Azerbaycan.. we won't get anything with talking.. turkey tried to talk to armenia or to get better relationship it does not work.. so if we want these lands get back then we have to support azeris.. I would love to see turkish soldiers fighting side by side with azeris (more realistic would be under azeri flag)..

akp says hedef 2023 so keep your promize and take it back :D

In 2023, they will dismantle Turkey. Thats the hedef. It is revenge from Turks.

In MHP's government, PKK pulled white flag, but that was in 1999. Young generation doesnt remember those times, they dont remember US operations against MIT, Muavenet attack, Esref Bitlis....

Young gen. grew up with AKP, these youth think AKP is godsend, while akp is worst of all. In my youth, there was a social state which was taking care of his citizens. There was a nationalist state which was taking care of its soldiers and policemen.

and the last elections MHP pulled white flag to PKK's political party.. they worked together..

so I know I cannot tell you somthing even my older brother I had enough discussions about this things.. so thats why I am saying every party has good and bad sites.. I am not for a special movement or a special party.. I choose what I think is the best of the mess so I will criticize even what I have choosen :D

Getting rid of AKP won't solve anything. Recently CHP has revealed they are bigger traitor. They want to give autonomy to eastern Turkey effectively giving away all the dams and water sources, giving away our borders access, and probably their biggest goal is to cut Turks from Azerbaijan and Central Asia. But I think economic interest are too high for that too happen. We have several energy pipelines that are essential part of our energy security. I think Erdogan won't jeopardise that but CHP will. CHP even attacked Turkish Armed Forces for producing mid range rockets. His question was "why do we have to produce anything like that? Who do we want to hit?"... lol
