Dasti sees Jewish conspiracy in anti-rape, anti-honor killing bills

ISLAMABAD: Jamshaid Dasti, a member of the National Assembly, said that the parliament has been subdued by the American non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and their Jewish agenda as the joint session of the parliament passed anti-rape and anti-honour killing bills.

“Indian forces are standing on the border, hundreds of our soldiers are injured and many have embraced martyrdom. There was no point of bringing up this bill today. We had to send a message to our enemy, but this bill (anti-rape bill) has overshadowed it,” he said while speaking during the session.

He also lamented that “today even 5th graders are aware of sex education”.

The legislation on honour killings introduces strict punishment for the convicts making it tougher than the ordinary murder cases.

Under the new law relatives of the victim would only be able to pardon the killer if he is sentenced to capital punishment. However, the culprit would still face a mandatory life sentence of twelve-and-a-half years.

Before moving the Anti-Rape Bill, Babar informed the joint session: “The bill will prove to be effective in curbing rape cases across the country.”

Debating during the session, Law Minister Zaid Hamid revealed that the perpetrator of the crime will also be medically examined after this bill is turned into law.

“The verdicts in the rape cases will have to be given within three months, with the right to appeal in six months,” he added.

“The police station will be obliged to inform the victims of their legal rights,” Hamid said, adding, “We have made it mandatory that the culprit must be imprisoned for 25 years.”

The guy does have a point. There is a systematic international effort to portray Islam and Muslims as sleazy with a culture of oppressiveness. Here in Australia, I have run across many articles that outright denigrate us and there is no one to challenge these. I am not allowed to post links, but google for 'bacha bazi islam' on google, and look at the link to the guardian. There are many such examples.

Systematically, offenses such as 'honor killing', 'child marriage', 'homosexuality' are linked with us and the reason cited is that we don't have a liberal society. This is a direct attack on our religion, because our religion teaches us modesty.

Wait, I am not against the efforts to stop honor killings. I am saying there is credibility in his claims of there being a conspiracy.

We know the allegations are not true, but brainwashed by a consistent and large scale propaganda, this is how people perceive us. In turn, when it comes to popular support in democratic countries for our causes, we find people don't pay any attention. It hurts us, even though it is not true.

Islam is way of life implement ISLAM you wont need to pass nonsense bill like these where you have to define every move..

We don't need to hide reality, it's like hiding weakness .. Honor killing , child marriage, bacha bazi in the nutshell of madrassa is normal here from decades. Newspapers are filled with it.
Even families, gives reason that Hazrat ayesha was also married with hazrat Muhammad(P.B.U.H) at age of nine.

That is completely wrong, happens all the time, all over the world, and the press is reporting it.

Domestic abuse and rape are certainly outlawed, but still happen.

Statistics are not kept of Nationality of rapists, but Journalist have studied convictions
and found that immigrants are 7 times more likely to be convicted of rape.

Honour Killings are specific to Muslims over here.
