Dalai Lama ending Dalai institution

Sure, I think this has to be explored. Perhaps, even just removing the class A criminals from Yasukuni shrine and placing them in another grave site. For the sake of fostering better relations with Korea and China, yes. It is a reasonable step...
Yes these are the steps for a good start, whether Japan will implement them remains to be seen.

As for the old man who regrets living in India :sniper::hitwall:

Come now, he is still your elder....

After all we have to remember that we Japanese cherish concept of Filial Piety, something that we had learned from Chinese philosopher missionaries. Concept of obeisance and respect towards elders....

Good one dalai... :drag:
currently supreme religious leader is also supreme political leader.. that will not be good for democracy, if tibet ever gets to be a separate country.

. .
He has no right to end anything, the system of reincarnation is important part of tibetan traditional culture and lamaism, consequently influence ethnic culture in China, while he is a criminal it is up to the tibetan people and the ruling governnent to make the decision whether to change system or not. To begin while dalai lama and panchen lama should not have any political authority, their religious importance including the reincarnation system shouldnt be undermined without broad censence, not even by themselves.
