DT staff member passes away
LAHORE: Muhammad Saad Anwar, senior sub editor at the Daily Times, passed away on Sunday morning. He was 24 years old. An extremely talented and hardworking journalist, Saad began his career from the Daily Times in 2005. He then relocated to Karachi as copy editor for an English-language news channel. However, after that project was disbanded, he returned to Daily Times in 2008, where he was responsible for editing most of the news content on the main news pages. Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer, Media Times COO Sheheryar Taseer, Daily Times Editor Rashed Rahman and the entire staff of Daily Times express their heartfelt condolences to Saads family and pray that God gives them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Saad is survived by two sisters and his mother. His qul will be offered today at 17-P, Valencia Homes, Lahore, at 9am.
