though the kids have done a good job, but my opinion is at such a young age they should be taught positive things of life, love,sports science, education, innovation etc. Not sure if war and strife is the place to go

Correct..... education, community service, sports just some values not this militaristic mindset which we all know only produces narrow mindedness.
