SAMBALPUR/NUAPADA: The CPI(Maoist) outfit is planning to form a new corridor to connect Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh through the districts of Sambalpur and Deogarh, said Director-General (DG) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Prakash Mishra.

“The CRPF is ready to foil any such attempt by the banned outfit,” the DG said, after reviewing the counter insurgency operation here on Wednesday. Sambalpur and Deogarh districts are pivotal because of their strategic location and all efforts will be made to ensure that the Maoists cannot realise their plan of a corridor, added Mishra, who arrived in Sambalpur later in the day after reviewing anti-Maoist operations at Sunabeda wildlife sanctuary in Nuapada, which has become a hotbed of Maoists. “It will be easy to rein in the Maoists if they are denied setting up the corridor,” Mishra said, adding that there has been a reduction in the Maoist movement in Sundargarh, Deogarh and Sambalpur whereas it has increased in Boudh, Kandhamal and Angul districts.

He said the CRPF personnel have succeeded in containing Maoist activity in Sunabeda sanctuary and are now concentrating on the border areas of Nuapada and Chhattisgarh, where the ultras are currently active. On CRPF deployment in the State, the CRPF DG said it would be rationalised and the personnel stationed in areas which have marked subdued Maoist activities would be moved to places where ultras are active. He said the CRPF was working in tandem with the State Police. During his visit to the Sunabeda sanctuary, Mishra attended a function organised by CRPF in Sunabeda village as a part of their Civic Action Programme.

The programme included archery competition among villagers, which saw participation of over 300 boys and girls residing in the sanctuary area. Addressing villagers, Mishra said availability of health, social security and postal services is being given importance in the Maoistinfested areas. He also assured that a platform for the archers will be provided at State and national-level to showcase their talent. Mishra distributed prizes among the winners.

Speaking on the occasion, Koraput SP CS Meena and BSF DIG AK Sharma sought help of tribals in creating a peaceful atmosphere in the Maoist hot-bed. Sports kits, medicines, clothes and utensils were distributed to tribals by the BSF officers. A free health camp was also organised

Local populations are now becoming sympathetic again to Maoist in areas which were cleaned sweeped of Maoist by CRPF. Bengal and Orissa are witnessing huge spurt in Maoist propaganda of influencing local people again. State government is sitting ducks as it doesn't want to portray itself as tyranny.

Sacrifices of CRPF men to free these states from naxals is going to be in vain because of vested interest of these rascals.

Where are the heads of the maoist propaganda machine located? Why is it so difficult to specifically target maoist commanders? Or are they too decentralized to go head hunting?

Maoist have several heads, One in form of naxal, then Left Liberal Pseudo-Intellectuals, then JNU, then State politician, then mining companies, then western countries which are scared of India's development, then Christian Missionaries who want convert tribals, then Anti-India Social activist like Arundhoti Roy, then local police, then local goons, then atlast tribals, all these heads have to be taken care of, simultaneously...... Tough job

Recently Central Committee member Arvind ji was cornered in Latehar, Jharkhand by CRPF. All of sudden a thousand men cordon of CRPF was called off. You can imagine reach of these senior Naxal leaders. Earlier also Kishan Ji, another Committee member was cornered twice by CRPF but same story.

It's not about development only brother, it is a much deeper shit, involving enormous amount of illegal mining money.
