Crimea: Largest Mosque Ever Built, for Crimean Tatars: Exclusive Report, vs Western Propaganda

Yes. It appears you are right. Kieven Rus converted circa 980 after considering Islam, Judaism, Western Christianity and Orthodox Christianity.
It is not about Rus. It is about Roman Empire (Eastern one).

Very good move by Russia..Egypt is also building a huge new cathedral

Russia continues to show the Islamic world how progressive and confident it is as a nation to forge new relations with world and neighbors

Russia announced that the national leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Abdulcemil Kirimoglu, has been banned from entering Crimea until March 5, 2034 (He is 79). Refat Chubarov, head of the Crimean Tatar Milli Majlis (KTMM), was convicted. There is a terrible witch hunt in Crimea right now. There are numerous arrests and many missing Crimean Tatars. There are thousands of people who cannot return to their countries, and most of them are in Turkey. According to the Crimean Tatar assembly, there is a new immigration of about half a million Russian origins who came to Crimea after the occupation. Some arbitrary practices of the FSB and some of the new Russian local government's compulsions, especially the military law, remind us of the Stalin era. Deport or no-go-back policy should end first. After driving the people of Crimea away from Crimea, building a mosque seems more like a propaganda tool than a public service.

And why is this news relevant to this thread? Are you trying to derail this thread?

Western media is actually doing their last death struggle, they have already painted themselves into the corner.

Extremely relevant. Read the title again. What I write is not western propaganda. The leaders of the Crimean Tatar nation are either imprisoned or not allowed into the country.

Every time Russia engages in demographic engineering in the north of the Black Sea, from the Circassian massacres to the Crimean/Tatar relocation, Turkey was always affected by this. In order to explain the sociological depth of this, it is necessary to know that about 8%-15% of today's population of Turkey are the children of families who immigrated from the territory of today's Russia. Even if the Turkish press does not take this today's Crimea issue into its agenda, Crimean Tatars can make their voices heard through protests and panels, especially in cities such as Istanbul and Ankara. There is a growing bottom wave so ater the government changes in Turkey, it will have to take this issue more seriously. Russia is one of our most important regional partners and our neighbor. In order not to re-enter the old cold climate, Russia's calming steps will be very valuable. States' perspectives aside, for the Turkish nation, the issue is not the territorial struggle between Ukraine and Russia; The revival of the ancient Tatar culture in the Crimea is the reunification of the fragmented Tatar Turk community in their homeland. If Russia takes positive steps in this sense, it will also receive the support of the Turkish public.

This thread was opened in 2018. Obviously, his aim is to influence the Muslim community here. Turks are also a part of this community, and I say that in the annexation process of Crimea, what Russia should emphasize is not the construction of a mosque, but the local people of Crimea, to live in their country.
