Think about it. If you start worshipping everything, you will start running out of things to eat. Afterall, even veggies have a high % (some 50% or more) of shared DNA with humans.
Are you willing to study Hinduism or Buddhism (the assertion is common in both)?

If the answer is no, then why bother? :azn:

Sir I don't know why you are limiting the scope by hinting about US .... its your choice
Humans nuked humans.

We should end it here before it turns into a discussion of religion (banned in PDF). That's some endless debate I have no time for.

Did anyone bother reading the OP, as to why Home Minister Rajnath Singh said this? Please see below:

"It has even been written in the ‘Babarnama’ that one cannot rule over Hindustan unless you stop cow slaughter,” said Singh.

The crowds in stadium were men gathered from across the country.

They also included BJP members, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and even RSS men. Senior RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi said it “duty of the government” to take care of cows.

Another Sangh leader said “that this government has taken steps like the surgical strike was capable of bringing in law to ban cow slaughter."

The OP has a video of a Muslim woman being beaten up for allegedly selling beef, as well

India - you can do better - please get these people to shut up.

Why ? Can you get Trump to shut up ?

Keep your prejudices to yourself and let us practice Free speech.

India is the only large democracy which allows & encourages cow vigilantes as endorsed by its PM and the ruling party.

Shame.

No wonder India is the laughing stock of the world on this "holy cow" issue.

.
A Potato probably shares 50% genes with a human.

Are you half a potato?

Do you worship potatoes?

You have f***ked up your history with absurd logic and made India a 10000 year old nation. Now these sanghis are stepping into the field of genetics, lol!
apparently any figure less than 80% is not worth praying.

.
...and then all the sane people going out to defend it
Oh by the way my ski socks are 100% lamb! Anyone wants to eat?

We also allow islamic vigilantes as endorsed by Mulayam and mamata and their ruling party.

A bigger shame but a source of pride to 'secular' folks.

Since stones have 0% human DNA and is worth praying by Hindus you are only exposing your hate and bigotry. Not that I care, but as usual its fun to expose you.

It's completely different in India. You have the home minister saying we are cows, you have other ministers saying we are hanuman army, others still talking about vimanas. Honestly it's all so ridiculous

How is it any more ridiculous than the US president saying "In GOD we trust" ?

or Islamic minisiters claiming in Allah they trust ?

What makes cows, hanuman or vimanas any less fantastic ? Your fantasies are somehow superior ? .... freaking bigot.

What about Pigs then?? You do know human and swine DNA are very similar as well. More than 80%.

On Topic: Please excuse yourself from teaching me how that moronic statement is correct. If you feel it is, good for you.

What of pigs ? You have something against pigs ? Maybe you think they are 'dirty' ? except when you eat them ?

.
Rodent's and Pigs are also quite close to the DNA makeup of humans, although the minister is taking the data out of context

Actually :
The size of the bovine genome is 3 Gb (3 billion base pairs). It contains approximately 22,000 genes of which 14,000 are common to all mammalian species. Bovines share 80 percent of their genes with humans; cows are less similar to humans than rodents (humans and rodents belong to the clade of Supraprimates). They also have about 1,000 genes shared with dogs and rodents but not identified in humans.

The charting of key DNA differences, also known as haplotypes, between several varieties of cattle could allow scientists to understand what is the role of some genes coding for products of economic value (milk, meat, leather). It opens new perspectives for enhancing selective breeding and changing certain cattle characteristics for the benefit of farmers.

factually his take of 80% mkeup og genetic material being the same is not incorrect.
theory of evolution also suggests that cockroaches and human share common ancestors
