IMO, people do 'Sadaqa' and arrange cooking and distribute cooked food to the low income employees and their families. No harm in it.
'Sadaqa' is a matter between the person and ALLAH SWT, so we should keep away from discussing it at forums, It is not our responsibility.

Giving sadqa is highly recommended but you don't need to slaughter the animal right at the place where you are starting your job.
