Just how many weddings are there per day and how many personnel would need to be deployed to monitor even 5% of them?

Few...they will get good expensive wedding food so no need to feel pity for them

I am just interested in making these people to lower their budget on wedding and spend it on education .....or something and pay their tax ESP if they can afford lavish weddings

Maybe wedding hall tax should increase or something. Since Pakistan prefers indirect tax

Why is lavish wedding a problem ? assuming the money for the wedding belongs to the person spending it
the way I look at it the money is recycled into the economy

Sure but we these same people don't pay a dime for taxes may be wedding shopping needs to be taxed but it will even effect those who pay taxes...maybe we need to introduce shopping with card where your card shows you haven't paid tax so you need to pay more for same goods...applicable to expensive products or useless waste of money

You have good ideas sometimes, but the ability of the people to find ways to evade them is quite impressive, to say the least.

yea when I feel the need to share the tons of ideas in my head...Mostly I prefer not to share coz people dont understand many feel that I will corner them and stab them or something ....Maybe people need to be open to ideas than they can see where I am heading

I really liked your ideas on promoting tourism, to be fair, despite our differences in many other areas. The good thing is we can discuss ideas on PDF without stabbing anyone, no matter how big the differences.

Yea those were built over a long period of time...Everytime I visit a foreign land I am like can Pakistan do something similar? I never want it to do the same [in terms of tourism it wont have the wow effect]...

I had suggested my ideas on PDF abt half a decade ago....and I was laughed at so I just built up on them [I mean someone will buy it and make it happen...] I guess I am that stubborn person who doesnt give up easily...You dont wanna hear it fine I move to next 200 people of the population

Poor newly weds will end up in debt before even starting life....I think tax should be on lavish weddings only

That is what I meant. keep the weddings simple and tax all the extravaganza and chichorpun and dikhawa that comes with it.
