Corruption scaring away foreign investors

"Norwegian envoy to Pakistan said that foreign investors escape from here due to corruption.



As per detail, Rober Kvile expressed these thoughts while addressing a ceremony at National Press Club.



Giving reference to a large number of foreign investors who escaped from Pakistan, he said that corruption is greater problem than terrorism.
He said that corruption was a big challenge for government of Pakistan.



He suggested that right political decisions were needed in order to put the country in the right direction.



With the reference to current Constitutional amendment, he said that it had consolidated democracy in the country."

gardari and nawaz shareef got time to talk trash on T.V, but they got no solutions to fix our economy and stop corruption, these two had the power to fix everything but instead they destroyed everything,

Well in Pakistan , land mafia can steal any land, and then prove you wrong in court - why would anyone invest millions ?

Recently GEO news exposed , land mafia corruption , and how the master records had been destroyed by convenience ...in Karachi there is no legal record of land ownership or even the plot size maps all destroyed

The remained digitized copies are also corroding away due to heat in offices

Curruption has to go no one will invest a dime untill that happens

The singapore port authority was given GWADAR for 40 years , now we talk of giving it to China why would any investor invest in Pakistan if your investment is not protected

All government clerks are openly begging for BRIBES and not doing work unless bribes are paid -

Sometimes we need laws to beat the crap out of bribe takers

After watching the eye opener , I mean a real eye opener I was just left shocked and amazed how the hell is our government still running with this level of curruption

I mean whole record of lands for cities LOST ...
I mean people selling lands to which they have no ownership , and then then selling it 5 times to create a false trail , and getting away with it

The fires that destroy government buildings with records - the clerks working in these sensitive areas manipulating documents

The corruption and irregularities in Pakistan are of epic proportions

Unless HARSH punishments are used (head chopping or hand chopping) our nation will not learn the lesson some may say well that is Sharia and strict but sorry our people are committing crimes of epic magnitude...

Investment comes only when

a) You have security for assets and ownership for investor
b) You have stability in city and policing
c) You have trade and healthy potential to return investment for investor

To ask ppl to come throw their money into Pakistan while , Land Mafia grabs and sells illegally owned land

Sorry ain't happening

When only 2% of people pay taxes and head of corporations declare no profit for 10 years in row you know they are just waiting for you to send cash so they will take their "CUT" - this is what Trade in Pakistan has been reduced to ...

Cuts , and margins for people who facilitate the trade process !!!

Why would the Dubai banks sell their assets and leave Pakistani Market ... because things promised to them during Musharif Era are not happening due to PPP government reluctance to follow thru old policies

There are countless projects left 80% complete ... hospitals or universites that were being built now they remain places where villagers park their cows and cattle
