judging from the disaster in India with their low income demographic, I would say no.

The "disaster" thing is your wish I think!!!! otherwise India had managed it better than most of developed world.

To be honest I think India will be OK, not because they believe in whatever gods or cow nonsense, this virus simply don't transmit very well in hot and humid weather.

South East Asia basically has little to no protection measure against this virus, and many are tourism countries with lots of Chinese go there for holidays, yet their case number is pretty low, they death number is even lower.
