Contract for 76 Su-57 fighters signed at Army 2019

More details are desired. 76 by 2028 seems too slow. When will the first aircraft be delivered?

10 aircraft per year is good....

The real question is - what engine will those jets have. If gen 2 engine - then first jet will be ready in 2022-2023. If gen 1 - then there will be too many sub-Su-57 jets.

Are the Gen 2 engine AL-41s ??

IDK what you mean by gen-1 or gen-2 engines. But what I learnt is that the production models will use Saturn Izdeliye 30 engine with 3D thrust vectoring and more thrust to weight ratio. It will also Su57 to supercruise as well. Right now, all prototypes are using a modified version of AL-41 which is installed in Su35s. So the engine has been decided but it won't be ready until 2020 i.e. next year. Without SI-30 engines, Su57 won't be a proper 5th airplane..it would be 4.75 gen...so there's no chance that Russian airforce will accept the older engine.

No, it is a brand new engine...read my post.

It is gen 1. Gen 2 still has no name, only project name "Изделие 30".

Even gen 1 (AL-41F1) versions on Su-57 are better then those on Su-35. Su-57 and Su-35 both can supercruise and both have 3d vectoring. Gen 1 engines can supercruise on 1.1 Mach. Gen 2 will give Su-57 1.5 Mach.

Oh that's really good. But it also matters for how much distance it can super cruise? Like F35 can only go 150 km at 1.2 Mach while EFT2000 can super cruise at Mach 1.5 thanks to two EJ200 engines.

Can't find this info. Probably still secret.

That's great. And indirectly great news for India. If this aircraft has resolved its teething issues which IAF had raised, then IAF can order this ac.

Su-57 don't have any problem. India is pro America. India buy F-16 at a cost of 200 million USD a plane.
