KARACHI (January 10 2010): A simple but impressive ceremony was held at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) on Friday to mark the start of construction work of two pusher tugs and one dredge tender being built for Karachi Port Trust (KPT). Vice Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Rao (Retd), Managing Director KSEW was the chief guest on the occasion, said a press release issued by the KSEW.
The Shipbuilding Department of Karachi Shipyard headed by Commodore Khalid Mahmood pledged to complete these projects ahead of scheduled time despite KSEW's engagement in construction of F-22P Frigate and 2 x STUS ships for Pakistan Navy.-PR
