kashmir in pakistan is a part of punjab province , afghans are mentioned right at the bottom , gujrati and memons comes under mohajir category as they migrated from present day India.

No AJK and gilgit- balitistan are not part of punjab province.

Yes. Look at the examples of US, UK, Spain, Canada etc they have the resources to arrest and deport illegals but they usually give them amnesty and path to citizenship.

I am sure if tomorrow PM gilani offers them citezenship the nationalists in sindh will raise hue and cry about being converted to minority.They have been demanding that those who have come after 1954 should be declared illegal and repatriated.

The problem with the Sindhis is that they protests and raise hue and cry. I don't see Sindhis working hard and being successful in business and professions. The Hindu Sindhi in India and later around the world are very successful. The Hindu Sindhis like Muhajirs lost everything after independence and settled in new land and worked hard to be successful. The Pakhtun, Punjabis, Kashmiris, Hazaras, Bangalis, Burmese come and settle in Karachi and work hard. While Sindhis want to be given everything on a platter. They don't want to be successful nor they want to see anybody else to be successful in Sindh. Most of the Sindh revenue comes from Karachi where these non-Sindhis work hard and pay taxes.

The Pakhtun, Punjabis, Kashmiris, Hazaras, Bangalis, Burmese come and settle in Karachi and work hard. While Sindhis want to be given everything on a platter. They don't want to be successful nor they want to see anybody else to be successful in Sindh. Most of the Sindh revenue comes from Karachi where these non-Sindhis work hard and pay taxes.

When bengalis and burmese have their homelands then why come to karachi in huge numbers.Karachi contributes most of the revenue because of its two ports.

They come because there are jobs and opportunities. They come because people living in that province don't take advantage of these jobs and opportunities. People move from different continents to be successful in new land. The Sindhis are just sitting and complaining instead of taking advantage of opportunities in their own province. Sindhi don't join Pakistan armed forces even after a Sindh regiment was created. Pakistan navy provides so many jobs and opportunities but they don't want them either. Then when other people come take these jobs and settle in Karachi the Sindhis complain. Why don't you first explain why Sindhis are not taking jobs and opportunities that are available to them ? The Sindhi waderas are ruling the haris and they live like serfs. May be Sindhis should try to identify and solve the problems instead of just complaining.

Thats a recent change from last 60 years kashmir was part of punjab and gilgit was a part of NWFP .

some gujaratis were living in karachi before 1947

we are talking about masses here , majority migrated after partition

I have nothing against people moving to different continents to be successful as long as its done legally.Pakistan is no rich developed nation so the argument that their are jobs and opportunities in karachi is false.
What if they are lazy it does not give people of other nations the justification to dump their unemployed people on them.

There are 6 million illegal Mexicans in US. There are millions of illegal migrants in Europe. They cannot be deported and in the past they there have been amnesties to give them path to citizenship.

There are jobs and opportunities in Karachi. That is why Muslims from Arakan/Rakhine region in Burma travel 1500 miles across Bangladesh and India to Pakistan crossing dangerous borders and paying human smugglers. That is why the Muslim Bengalis also make the trek to Karachi. That is why Kashmiris, Pakhtuns, Afghans, Hazaras, Punjabis, Seraikis, etc are coming and settling in Karachi. None of them are starving they have struggled to find jobs and a place to live.

You are calling Sindhis "lazy" and many will agree with you. The Sindhis don't want to join Pakistan armed forces, they don't want to move to Karachi and find jobs they just complain when somebody else comes and becomes successful. We have President, Prime Minister, and other position held by Sindhis and they tried to create quotas for Sindhis to give them jobs and opportunities but still Sindhis have not taken any advantage of them. Sindhi nationalist party just complain and bring people from interior Sindh to protest. Why don't they instead teach Sindhis to work hard and take advantage of jobs, seats in medical/engineering colleges available to them ?

you know in the early 90's BAL THACKRAY had similar concerns for his "MAHRASTRA" that supposedly the peace loving MQM is supporting!

unfortunately for us people in india realized that if a nation moves forawrd everyone get's rich doesn't matter about your province!!

but in pakistan MQM still does politics of if you are urdu speaking or sindhi or pashtoon or balochi! ethnicity should end in karachi! its time karachi should represent pakistan! and be united unlike now where MQM shows hate to sindhis,punjabis,pashtoons & sometimes army!

Bengalis and burmese migrate for the same reason as pakistanis go to western countries , however they arent much welcomed in other cities of Pakistan as there is no presence.
